What is the "Carolina Cup"?
The Carolina Cup Pro Series (CCPS) is a regional automobile racing series based in the southeastern United States.
The series is designed to promote fun, hassle free racing with a professional atmosphere.
CCPS is a points-based, team series, with cash awards for top finishers in each race and a cumulative cash prize for the overall points winner at the end the season.
CCPS races are all 45 minutes in length with a mandatory 2 minute pit-stop. Many teams opt to run one driver per race, however rules allow for a driver swap allowing more drivers to participate and gain valuable seat time.

All interested parties,

This year we are thinking about stepping up the CCPS year end wrap up meeting. As many of you know our normal has been a stuffy Sunday morning breakfast at Golden Corral, a couple of weeks before or after the CCR and NCR banquets. It has always bothered me that we have to split up the Carolina Cup award presentations as CCR and NCR banquets are always on the same night. This year we added SCR as a host region which further adds to the year end dilemma. My idea is to have a nice CCPS banquet with food and entertainment so that all CCPS participants and interested parties can be gathered together. Anybody that could not make the CCPS meeting/banquet would still be honored at the host regions banquet.

The available date that I see that could work would be Jan. 3rd, 2009 or we could wait until after Jekyll which is Jan. 17-18, 2009

Any interested parties would be invited whether you are a CCPS Member or not.

Any CCPS members or corporations that might be interested could make a donation to sponsor part of the cost and there would probably need to be a small cover charge per person for the food and the band. The more sponsorship we could get, the less the cover charge will be. Sponsors will be recognized. Don't want to make money here just need to cover the expenses.

The E-Speed Motorsports facilities in Kannapolis, NC has the room to handle this gathering and can keep cost at a minimum. It is also roughly in the middle of CCPS Country.  It would be BYOB and/or BYOA. Motels are nearby or you could crash on the floor if you want.

What does everybody think? Do you want to have a stuffy breakfast meeting or a throw down good time social event of the year? We have the best series, why not have the best social!!!!!

Please respond back as soon as possible.
